Xiaoyun (Sharon as she is known to many) Redding was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcroma back in 2006 and had surgery to remove the tumor. For 9 years she was cancer free. In 2015, it returned with avengence. Through multiple surgeries, radation treatments, and other treatments, she was able to still have a good quality of life. We traveled, hiked, kayaked, and went to the beach as often as we could. On March 31,2024 she peacefully succumbed to the cancer far too soon. Please consider donating to her LMSDR fundraising page. The money raised goes directly to doctors and researchers in the field workng for better treatment and outcomes. This is a rare cancer that has historically not been given a lot of funding. New targeted treatments are constantly being discovered.
Sharon was a force of nature. She was always brimming with energy even over the last 8 years with all that she had to face. Her creativity and her eye for beauty will be greatly missed. She loved painting, caligraphy, music, cooking, photography, and art. Sharon gave and recieved a lot of beauty out of into this world. She was a wonderful and loving partner. She comforted me when a close friend suddenly passed away this past October even though she was put on hospice in August. Our love for eachother never wavered. Her absence will forever leave a void in me, but I will honor her as best I can. The friends she met along the way captured her heart and soul. Our famalies are our beacon of love and support.
Thank you kindly.
