Suzy Allen Memorial Fund
For 21 years, Suzy Parker Allen fought a courageous battle against Leiomyosarcoma (LMS). Suzy passed away on July 25, 2022.
Suzy was born and raised in Burlingame, CA. A graduate of Mills High School, she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. After graduation, Suzy moved to San Francisco where she met her husband and married in 1999.
Two years later, Suzy was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer and was given 6 months to live. Along with her dedicated team of doctors, led by Dr. Garrett Smith, she fought like a warrior and overcame the odds time and time again. During her on and off battle, Suzy lived her life to the fullest and sought joy in spending time with her family, and friends, and enjoying the company of her beloved Siberian cat, Harry. Suzy was rarely seen without a big smile on her face and her “let’s do it” attitude. Her laugh was infectious, and her strength, grace, and positive attitude were admired by all.
To honor Suzy’s legacy and her passion in advancing LMS research, a fund has been established in her memory as the search for a cure continues.
