I was recently diagnosed with Stage 1 leiomyosarcoma following a long overdue hysterectomy. As you can imagine, I was shocked, sad, overwhelmed and felt powerless as there is little research regarding effective treatments for this cancer. I am sharing this with you in the hope that more research and studies can be conducted to help find a cure for this rare cancer.
